Get both filters at your local Suzuki dealer. Just tell them it's for a Savage LS650. If your air filter isn't too encrusted with dirt, you can back blow it with compressed air. Be careful how you install the new oil filter, and don't forget the 2 O-rings! I've changed my filters recently and have no idea what the 1/4" hose is you're referring to, unless it's the valve cover breather hose, which has nothing to do with the air filter. Please pay attention to what these other veteran Savage owners suggest, Kevin, and proceed slowly!
